HARI closed 2012 on a positive note with 8% growth in total sales. The Passenger Car (PC) segment continued to boost sales with 25% growth, or 13,382 units sold in 2012 from the 10,700 units sold in the previous year. The EON, launched early in 2012, shoved PC sales up to complement the good performance of the Accent (16%) and the Elantra (27%). Total sales of Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) increased by 28% compared to December 2011, driven by aggressive promotions of the Tucson and the timely arrival of the all-new Santa Fe and the Grand Starex.

HARI registered 8% growth in overall sales from January to November, with 20, 491 units sold compared to the 18, 922 units sold in the same period last year. The Passenger Car (PC) segment sustained its strong performance with a 27% rise to 12, 631 units sold versus the 9,913 units sold in January-November 2011. The progress in the PC segment was mainly attributed to the EON, Accent, and Elantra models.

Two Filipino Hyundai service advisors bag top awards at first-ever Hyundai Global Competition for Service Advisors

 

HARI opened the last quarter of the year with overall sales up by 13% to 18,818 units sold from January to October, as opposed to 16,705 units in the same period in 2011. The Passenger Car (PC) segment hoisted sales with 11,593 units sold, 37% better than the 8,474 units sold from January to October in 2011. This positive performance was due to the impressive sales of the Accent and EON.

 

Two service advisors of the HARI dealership network won top honors at the 1st Hyundai Service Advisor Championship in Seoul, South Korea. Eduard de Guzman landed among the top 10 finalists and Rommel Agpoon, stood out from among 62 participants from 44 countries to bag the Outstanding Skills and Recognized Skills Awards respectively.

HARI launched the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, reengineered to set pulses racing for life at top speed.

 

HARI wrapped up the third quarter with overall sales rising to 15%. The company registered a total of 17,156 units sold from January to September as opposed to the 14,883 units sold in the same period in 2011. The positive performance is due to Hyundai's impressive sales of Passenger Car (PC) models which grew by 48% to 10,652 units sold for the first three quarters of this year versus the 7,217 units sold in the same period in 2011. The Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segment bounced back with an 11% rise to 709 units sold, compared to the 636 units sold in September 2011.

HARI posted 36% growth in total sales to 2,356 units from 1,737 units in the previous month. The Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segment made an impressive comeback with 101% surge, or 1,108 units sold in June versus the 550 sold in May. Models in the PC segment, namely the Accent and the EON, upped in sales by 66%.

May 2-5, 2012. HARI as Official Mobility Partner of the 45th Asian Development Bank Annual Meeting of Board of Governors had 50 Hyundai Grand Starex vehicles transporting 4,000 VIP delegates to the conference venues.

 

May-August 2012. Hyundai and the Department of Tourism (DOT) geared up to reinforce the image of the Philippines as Asia's preferred tourist and investment destination at the EXPO 2012, “Islands of Diversity, Seas of Connectivity” held in Yeosu, South Korea. Hyundai sponsored the video that was screened at the Philippine Pavilion.

HARI inaugurated its new office at the Bonifacio Technology Centre (BTC)

 

The second quarter opened with 35% growth in total sales (January- April 2012). This was brought about by the 113% rise in Passenger Car (PC) sales—from 2,534 units sold in the first four months of 2011 to 5,396 units sold in the same period of this year. Models in the PC segment, the i10, Accent, Elantra, and the newly-launched EON, contributed to the overall boost in sales.

First quarter sales closed with a strong 44% growth in total sales, or 6,767 units sold from January 2012 to March 2012, compared to the 4,712 units sold in the same period last year. The passenger car models, the i10, Accent and the Elantra, saw a 127% increase for the first three months of the year to 4,297 units sold.

 

HARI won the Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) Asia Quality Information Performance Award 2012 at the HMC Asia and Pacific Service Conference held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia.
